Please notify of planned absences as early as possible. Preferably before the month is invoiced. A minimum 48 hour notice is required to be eligible for a makeup lesson. For eligible lessons payment will be credited to the next month invoice. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours advanced notice or without notice (or no-show) are not allowed, not eligible for makeups and will be considered as a regular lesson. No refunds shall be given for any reason.
Lessons are provided at the sole discretion of the teacher and may be discontinued for any reason, but especially including disrespectful or dangerous behavior, frequent tardiness or missing/canceling lessons, and failure to practice on a regular basis resulting in hindered progress in learning.
For student recitals, a non-refundable registration fee $40-50 per a student due a month prior to the student recital in Spring and Winter. The recital fee would depend on the
levels of students, the length of the recital, and the size of venue. This fee covers studio recital expenses including guest artists, rent, piano tuning, media, brochure, gifts, and other studio expenses. A late fee $10-15 is applied when a recital payment is not made by the due date. Students who perform at two or more recitals in the same season get $10 discount. Sibling discount $10 is applied.
Student lesson/performance books and materials are excluded in the payment for lessons. Music lesson books and supplies will be guided with specific information.
Parents notify by the 15th of the month to come to an end lessons that month. Tuition for lessons more than 14 days from parents' notice date is credited to their account for future lessons, but is not refunded.
In order to give every student their fair share of time, we are implementing a time for drop off and picking up students. Please arrive 5 min prior to your student’s lesson at the studio, and 5 min before the end of your student lesson time so that you can pick up your child right before the next student's lesson.
Students are under supervision during their lesson time only. The teacher is not responsible for supervising children outside of lesson time. Young children, friends of students, or emotional support pets wait quietly while in the common area.
Any family members or guardians will not be allowed inside the studio. Upon request, lessons can be “live streamed” through FaceTime or Zoom for the parents/guardian to watch.
For a clean environment, students are recommended to take off their shoes upon entering the studio. Short fingernails are required for piano students. Upon arrival, students wash hands thoroughly with soap and water or use hand sanitizers. Smoking is prohibited inside or on the grounds of the music studio.
